Position – Welder/Fabricator

Location – Northumberland  

Hourly Rate – Up to £16

Shifts – Day shift (Early finish Friday)

 

About the company:

A key SME client of Theo James, who has increased their turnover by 2.5 times over the past 12 months and is still growing, is looking to add a Welder/Fabricator to their team.

The company specializes in supplying fabricated and welded products to the renewables and energy sectors. They are looking to add to the team due to continued growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise MIG welding on aluminium materials to ensure strong, clean, and visually appealing welds.
  • Set up welding equipment, select appropriate filler materials, and adjust welding parameters for various aluminium materials.
  • Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections of welds to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications for accurate welding requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations for a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and share suggestions to enhance welding techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, project progress, and materials used.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • MIG Welding experience (Desirable)
  • Time served or equivalent
  • Fabrication experience (Desirable)
  • Fitting experience
