Location: Newton Aycliffe, County Durham
Salary: £47,803 PA
Working Hours: Continental Shifts (2days,2night – 6 days off)

Job Description:

As a Multi Skilled Technician, you will provide hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting support for manufacturing plant equipment. You will work closely with engineering teams and contractors to improve equipment integrity and plant reliability. This includes executing preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
  • Supporting breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and planned outages
  • Engaging in root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Leading or supervising contractor teams when required
  • Working within a multidisciplinary maintenance team

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Time-served apprenticeship and HNC (or equivalent) in a multi-discipline maintenance field
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of maintenance systems and reliability engineering

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in rotating equipment, electrical control panels, motors, PLCs, and robotics
  • Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings
  • Experience with SAP, MS Excel, and standard IT systems
  • Capable of writing high-quality risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work
