Job Title: Logistics Shift Leader
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + 18% SA

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required – some weekends on a rota basis)

Job Description:

As a Logistics Shift Leader, you’ll play a key role in driving safety, efficiency, and team performance across all logistics operations within a busy manufacturing site. Leading a team of Logistics Lead Operators, you’ll manage goods inwards, warehouse functions, KPI tracking, line delivery, and more.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting shift briefs focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery
• Ensuring smooth material flow and minimising downtime
• Leading by example to create a high-performance culture
• Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting change
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and H&S standards
• Driving a 5S culture across the shift

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a similar logistics or warehouse leadership role
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Confident using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office
• A flexible, proactive, and problem-solving mindset
