Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday (On-call rota included)

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician (Electrical), you’ll be responsible for supporting plant operations by performing preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment. This hands-on role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in line with the PPM schedule
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment
  • Work with the CMMS system to log maintenance tasks and improve plant OEE
  • Support out-of-hours maintenance via an on-call rotation
  • Participate in engineering projects and plant improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO13485, and ISO14001 standards
  • Maintain and assess critical spares inventory
  • Collaborate with external engineering services when needed
  • Raise purchase requisitions using SAP
  • Adhere to health and safety practices, including permit to work systems

Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a plant electrician in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC control systems, VSDs, conveyor systems, and thermal equipment
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382)
  • Familiar with GMP requirements and ISO standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms
  • Comfortable working in an on-call system
