Job Description:
As a Painter / Powder Coater , you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint and powder coatings to a range of components. The Painter / Powder Coater will carry out full surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion and finish.

The Painter / Powder Coater will operate spray equipment and coating systems, ensuring correct application techniques are followed to meet quality standards. You will mix coatings to specification, control application settings, and apply multiple layers where required.

In this role, the Painter / Powder Coater will also carry out inspections to ensure finishes meet required specifications, identifying and correcting any defects. Maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe, compliant working environment is a key responsibility.

You will work closely with other departments to support production targets and may also assist in training junior team members where needed.

 

Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Painter / Powder Coater or similar role in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of paint and powder coating techniques
  • Experience with surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, masking, priming)
  • Understanding of steel coatings, paints, and finishing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures and compliance
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Relevant training or certification (desirable)
