Job Description:

We’re currently recruiting a Welding Fabricator to join the production team in Blaydon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who takes pride in producing top-quality fabricated components.

As a Welding Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel materials using TIG and MIG welding processes. You’ll read and interpret engineering drawings, understand weld preparations and symbols, and carry out machine setup and welding to high standards.

The Welding Fabricator will work with a range of materials and components, including sections, plate, laser-cut, and machined parts ranging from 1mm up to over 30mm thick. Quality and precision are key – you’ll perform inspections and quality checks to ensure each product meets specification.

This role suits a Welding Fabricator who enjoys variety, can manage their own workload, and thrives in a busy, team-based environment.

Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served Welding Fabricator with NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication/Welding or equivalent.
  • Skilled in TIG and MIG welding across stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Experience with fabrication techniques including plate work, sections, and assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
  • Reliable, motivated, and capable of working independently when required.
