Job Description

As a Toolmaker / Die Maintenance Technician, you will be at the heart of the production operation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • In-press tooling breakdown and die/tool maintenance.
  • Preventative die and tool maintenance to maximise production efficiencies.
  • Resolving pressing quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Welding — TIG, MIG, and ARC.
  • General bench fitting.
  • Daily record keeping and following standardised SOPs.
  • Root cause analysis and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Tooling commissioning and die modification / engineering change activities.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant apprenticeship in Engineering or Toolmaking.
  • ONC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or an Engineering discipline.
  • Preventative die/tool maintenance experience.
  • Experience with presses, machining, and welding.
  • An understanding of Lean Practices.
