Job Title: Shot Blast Operative

Location: Stokesley, North Yorkshire

Hourly Rate: £14.50 – £15.00 per hour

Shifts: Day Shift | Monday to Friday | No Weekends

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Shot Blast Operative to their manufacturing team.

Job Description:

As a Shot Blast Operative, you will play an important role within the manufacturing and paint preparation process, ensuring bodywork is prepared to a consistently high standard before painting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing commercial vehicle bodywork ahead of the blasting and painting process.

  • Removing bodywork from the chassis or appropriately masking the chassis depending on the specification.

  • Shot blasting prepared bodywork to create the required finish ahead of painting.

  • Ensuring all preparation work is completed to a high-quality standard.

  • Maintaining shot blasting equipment and tools in good working condition.

  • Working closely with other members of the production team to achieve manufacturing deadlines.

  • Following all relevant health and safety procedures within the working environment.

  • Supporting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

The ideal Shot Blast Operative will have:

  • Previous shot blasting experience, ideally within a vehicle, commercial vehicle or similar manufacturing environment.

  • Experience within vehicle-related blasting or commercial painting would be advantageous.

  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.

  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A willingness to learn and continuously improve.

  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
