Senior Freight Operator (Gateshead) – Up to £34,000 dependent upon experience!

Responsibilities:
- Air and Sea booking/documentation for exports from UK to worldwide destinations
- Providing customers with updates and information on their shipments
- Quoting customers again in time
- Documentation – mainly bills of lading, air waybill and any chamber docs i.e., certificates or origin etc
- Customs clearance – trained in house if no experience
- Data entry again into our systems
- Speaking to customers on the phone and via email
- Dealing regularly with overseas agents
The ideal candidate:
- Freight forwarding experience is essential
- Experience working within a logistics/shipping department
- Someone that is very punctual is essential
- Keen interest in learning and developing
