Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week on a 3-shift rotation (Days, Backs, Nights) Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required to suit business needs, including some weekends.
Job Description:
We are seeking a quality technician to join a well-established Quality team in Newton Aycliffe. Reporting to the Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring product standards, supporting audits, and helping to resolve quality issues.
Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring operators adhere to quality elements of Standard Operating Procedures

Conducting regular product and process audits, feeding back findings as required

Identifying non-conformities and opportunities for process improvements

Communicating quality data effectively to manufacturing teams to drive improvement actions

Supporting Quality Engineers with customer and internal concerns
-
Assisting in achieving plant KPIs by contributing to problem-solving activities
-
Supporting investigations at customer or supplier locations when necessary

Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of pressing and fabrication manufacturing processes

Experience within a quality function in a fast-moving manufacturing environment

Competent in quality tools, techniques, and Microsoft IT packages

Ideally completed a recognised Apprenticeship and educated in an Engineering/Manufacturing discipline (ONC/HNC level)

Ability to thrive under pressure in a demanding production environment
-
Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in dealing across all business levels
-
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
