Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Quality Engineer to join a high-performing Quality team. You will play a key role in analysing, testing and evaluating raw materials, in-process components and finished goods to ensure compliance with customer and product specifications. The Quality Engineer will also support warranty investigations and act as a central point of communication for customer quality concerns.

Working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, R&D and Maintenance, the Quality Engineer will help maintain robust quality systems, support process improvements and contribute to the development of new testing methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing internal system and process audits as well as audits for local såuppliers.

  • Defining product quality specifications, supporting supplier qualification and approving potential suppliers.

  • Conducting product quality planning, inspection and approval activities.

  • Carrying out analytical testing of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

  • Completing detailed documentation and reporting for all inspections and tests.

  • Developing and enhancing laboratory test methods and supporting continual improvement.

  • Assisting management with monitoring process performance against KPIs.

  • Potentially leading a small team of QC Operators.

  • Ensuring compliance with Automotive Quality Standards and internal procedures to maximise customer satisfaction.

This role is ideal for a Quality Engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy and working in a collaborative technical environment.


Skills & Experience:

  • A technical or quality qualification (or equivalent).

  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a similar Quality Engineer role.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards including ISO9001 and IATF 16949.

  • Understanding of FMEA, 8D, PPAP and ideally VDA 6.3 audit management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.

  • Analytical mindset, strong initiative and the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Computer literate with strong English language skills.
