Job Description:

As Production Unit Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading and coordinating manufacturing teams within a busy production environment. You will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing production teams to meet output and performance targets
  • Driving a strong culture of health & safety and quality standards
  • Implementing and improving production processes and procedures
  • Coaching and developing a team of Supervisors across a 24/7 function
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities
  • Monitoring KPIs and driving performance improvements across the operation
  • Working cross-functionally with other departments to optimise output and efficiency
  • Managing inventory accuracy and addressing production challenges proactively

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager / Leader role within high-volume manufacturing, FMCG or automotive environments
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S, 5 Why, TPM, Kaizen)
  • Experience working to high quality standards (e.g. IATF16949 preferred)
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
