Job Title: Production Supervisor

Shifts: 3-shift rotation (6–2, 2–10, 10–6)

A leading name in automotive manufacturing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Peterlee. Working on a three-shift rotation, you’ll oversee both machine shop and assembly operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety targets.

Oversee daily production activities, ensuring smooth shift handovers and effective communication between teams.

Drive performance and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.

Allocate resources to meet production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.

Work with Maintenance to address equipment issues and minimise downtime.

Support a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Identify and implement process enhancements that improve productivity and quality.

Manage internal and customer issues, implementing robust corrective actions.
Skills and Requirements:

Proven experience as a Production Supervisor (minimum 3 years in a similar environment).

Background in automotive or precision engineering/manufacturing is essential.

Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and production best practices.

Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills.

Proactive leader who drives engagement, accountability, and improvement.

Confident using Microsoft Office and production management systems.

Analytical, reliable, and adaptable with a positive, hands-on approach.
