Job Description:
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating robust and achievable production plans aligned with material availability and manufacturing capacity. The Production Planner will coordinate workflow across multiple departments, ensuring efficient throughput and on-time delivery.
The Production Planner will monitor customer schedules, manage capacity planning, and support OTIF performance. You will work closely with production teams to align with the Master Production Schedule, control work-in-progress levels, and maintain material availability.
This Production Planner role also involves identifying process improvements, supporting cost-reduction initiatives, and contributing to lean manufacturing practices. You will also play a key role in planning for new product introductions, assessing BOMs, routing, and capacity requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Production Planner within manufacturing (automotive or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and production planning processes
- Experience with JIT, Kanban, and lean principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- SAP experience (desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
