Working Hours:  Full-time, Monday–Friday

Job Description:
As the Procurement Lead, you will oversee all direct and indirect procurement activity, ensuring operational quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets are consistently achieved. You will lead a small purchasing team, drive cost-effective sourcing decisions, and build strong supplier relationships that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals.

Your responsibilities as Procurement Lead will include managing supplier performance, conducting RFQs, tender evaluation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also support category strategy development through market research and cost analysis while identifying opportunities for process improvement and supplier consolidation.

The Procurement Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams, aligning procurement activities with production, maintenance, and operational needs to prevent disruption. You will provide day-to-day leadership to your team, manage purchase orders, support stock checks, and liaise with finance to resolve invoice queries efficiently.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in a business-related discipline preferred
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) desirable
  • Experience in a busy purchasing environment, ideally in automotive supply chain or manufacturing
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
