Job Description:
The Process Engineer
plays a key role in supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Process Engineer
, you will provide hands-on engineering support to production teams, ensuring processes remain stable, reliable, and optimised. You will work closely with operations to resolve technical issues quickly and implement improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing hands-on engineering support across the production environment
- Programming CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate operation
- Monitoring daily production performance and resolving technical challenges
- Improving cycle times, productivity, and overall process reliability
- Analysing downtime, scrap, and rework data to implement corrective actions
- Supporting capacity planning and optimising resource utilisation
- Ensuring tooling, equipment, and processes are production-ready
- Leading root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implementing preventative measures
- Maintaining accurate process documentation and production standards
- Supporting new product launches and production trials
- Ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards
The Process Engineer
will be instrumental in delivering measurable improvements in OEE, scrap reduction, downtime minimisation, and overall production efficiency.
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred)
- Experience within a production or manufacturing environment with exposure to CNC machining.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of OEE, production KPIs, and performance metrics
- Experience using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys
