Working Hours:
- Annualised hours system (average 40 hours per week)
- Summer Hours (January–July): 35-hour weeks, Tuesday to Friday.
- Week 1: 6am – 3pm
- Week 2: 3pm – midnight
- Winter Hours (August–December): 46.25-hour weeks, Monday to Friday.
- Week 1: 5:30am – 3pm
- Week 2: 3pm – 12:30am
Job Description:
We’re seeking a proactive Multi Skilled Engineer to join the friendly and dedicated Engineering team at our food manufacturing facility in Kirkcudbright. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
- Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety, Quality & Hygiene are met.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Using computer-based maintenance systems effectively.
Skills & Experience:
- Electrical qualification (City & Guilds/HNC or equivalent).
- Industrial 3-phase experience within a food or relevant manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical experience including pneumatics and fabrication (advantageous).
- Competence with computer-based maintenance systems.
- Proactive attitude with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
