Job Description:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician , you will play a key role in ensuring maximum uptime across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnosing issues on PLC, CNC, and electronic control systems
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Supporting continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability
  • Supporting site projects and machinery upgrades
  • Identifying cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the facility
Skills & Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3, time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Strong multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding expertise
  • PLC, CNC, and automation systems experience
  • Ability to read schematics and ladder logic
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Hydraulic and mechanical systems expertise
  • ABB robotics experience
  • IOSH / NEBOSH or strong safety improvement exposure
  • Forklift, MEWP, or driving licence
