Job Description:We are looking for a capable and adaptable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy engineering team within a thriving manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on CNC machinery and press equipment, where you will be instrumental in maximising machine reliability, reducing downtime, and improving overall operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on CNC machines and press equipment
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and implementing effective repairs
- Supporting production teams to resolve breakdowns quickly and safely
- Assisting with installation, commissioning, and relocation of machinery
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Contributing to continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and press systems
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding expertise
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- PLC fault-finding experience preferred
- Proactive problem-solving approach with excellent attention to detail
- Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement knowledge
- Background in a high-volume production environment
