Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Polisher to perform high-quality polishing and inspection of metal components. You will be responsible for finishing parts to various standards, from standard 80-grit belt finishes to mirror polish. The successful Polisher will also play a critical role in maintaining quality assurance processes through detailed inspection, documentation, and reporting.
Main Duties Include:
- Polishing of metal components to various surface finishes, including sateen, super sateen, and mirror.
- Polishing radii using specialist equipment.
- Performing in-process and final inspections using precision tools such as verniers, micrometres, PI tapes, CMM or Faro arms.
- Conducting goods-in, goods-out, subcontract, and purchased parts inspections.
- Documenting inspection data and signing off first/last inspection reports.
- Reporting non-conformances and contributing to zero-defect delivery goals.
- Using spreadsheets and internal systems to input technical inspection data.
- Participating in internal audits and quality system improvements.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a metal polishing or finishing role.
- Knowledge of various polishing techniques and standards.
- Competent in using precision measuring equipment.
- Attention to detail and high quality standards.
- Good computer literacy for entering inspection data.
- Strong understanding of inspection and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance standards.
