Job Description:
Reporting into the senior engineering leadership team, you will play a key role within the Process Engineering and Maintenance department, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting production performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the preventative maintenance programme
- Carrying out mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on complex manufacturing equipment
- Maintaining factory services and infrastructure
- Supporting production through auxiliary equipment repair and refurbishment
- Assisting with maintenance and repair work on conventional, CNC, EDM, and laser-based machinery
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed to required schedules and procedures
- Promoting health & safety and ensuring PPE compliance at all times
- Identifying opportunities for process and method improvements
- Reporting equipment, process, or material concerns to management
- Completing all documentation in line with company procedures
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Time-served engineer / technician within a relevant manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience working with complex automated or CNC-based machinery
- Strong awareness of health & safety standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- BS7671 Electrical Installation & Testing
- IPAF 3a / 3b
- Working at Heights / Harness Training
- IOSH Working Safely
