Working Hours:

Monday to Friday
40 hours per week, worked between 06:00 and 16:00.

Job Description:

As a Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical, you will maintain and repair electrical equipment across site while working closely with production teams to maximise machine availability. The Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical will carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond promptly to plant breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.

You will ensure all work is completed safely, following risk assessments, safe systems of work, and current electrical codes of practice. The Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical will collaborate with the wider engineering team to maintain safety standards and compliance with HSE legislation.

Responsibilities include completing tasks in line with the maintenance schedule, providing electrical support for new installations and upgrades, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and continuously improving plant performance.

The Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical will effectively plan and organise their own workload to support production demands while contributing positively to team performance and site improvements.


Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within heavy industry

  • Completed full electrical apprenticeship

  • Recognised and accredited electrical qualifications

  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance

  • Knowledge of industry standards and electrical best practice

  • Working knowledge of HSE legislation

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Personal attributes include enthusiasm, reliability, initiative, and strong problem-solving ability. The successful Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical must communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate flexibility in supporting operational requirements.
