Job Description:
As Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all site facilities, utilities, and manufacturing equipment.
This hands-on position combines technical maintenance expertise with the management of site infrastructure and services, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Facilities & Maintenance team.
- Plan and deliver both planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Oversee site infrastructure, utilities, and building services including HVAC, power, and water systems.
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, and contractor services.
- Drive continuous improvement and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, COSHH, and other relevant standards.
- Lead risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
- Monitor energy and utility usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and capital projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and asset records via CMMS.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- HND/HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience managing maintenance and facilities in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, utilities, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
Desirable:
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
- Experience with project or energy management.
- Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
