Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Controller to join a busy manufacturing operation. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring stock accuracy and maintaining the uninterrupted flow of materials to production.
The successful Inventory Controller will be responsible for receipting goods, storing materials correctly, picking and kitting production orders, managing inventory transactions, and carrying out regular cycle counts. You'll also manage FIFO processes, support subcontract operations, prepare aftermarket orders, and ensure the production facility remains fully supplied.
This Inventory Controller role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately within inventory management systems while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.
Working closely with production and logistics, the Inventory Controller will help ensure materials are always available at the right time, supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Inventory Controller experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive or a similar environment.
- Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
- Valid Forklift Licence.
- Strong stock control and inventory accuracy experience.
- Understanding of FIFO and inventory best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit with a proactive approach to work.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
