Job Description:
We are recruiting for an experienced HSE Officer to support the delivery of health, safety, and environmental plans aligned to operational objectives.
The HSE Officer will work closely with leadership and management teams to improve safety culture, support compliance, and help drive continuous improvement across the site. Responsibilities include supporting HSE plans, maintaining records and databases, assisting with incident and near-miss investigations, supporting RIDDOR and other reportable events, and ensuring policies and procedures remain legally compliant.
This HSE Officer position will also involve monitoring KPIs, identifying hazards, advising on risk reduction, supporting ISO and legal compliance, and building strong relationships with operational teams to positively influence best practice.
You’ll also support wider HSE projects, employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to a positive and rewarding workplace culture.
Skills & experience:
Previous experience in an HSE environment
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
NEBOSH qualification essential
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisation and time management
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to investigate incidents and identify hazards
Strong relationship-building skills
Positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
