Job Description:
The Facilities Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted delivery of facilities services across a high-tech manufacturing site. This Facilities Supervisor position involves leading maintenance and operations teams while driving high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising daily activities to ensure production targets are met with minimal disruption. You will oversee shift planning, resource allocation, and contractor management, ensuring all work is completed safely and effectively.

The Facilities Supervisor will also monitor performance using KPIs, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising maintenance and operations technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Managing shift planning and resource allocation
  • Monitoring costs and maintaining budget control
  • Overseeing contractor activities and site interactions
  • Driving performance improvements through KPIs and metrics
  • Supporting training, development, and team performance

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Supervisor or similar leadership role
  • Background in maintenance (electrical or mechanical)
  • Experience within a chemical plant or process-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards (ISO14001 / ISO45001)
  • Ability to interpret process flow diagrams and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring and compliance systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
