Job Description:

As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and clean room tools/fixtures.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical work.
  • Ensure electrical installations are delivered on schedule and handed over to production.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment and tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and colleagues to integrate electrical systems effectively.
  • Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors, and safety devices.
  • Provide technical guidance to apprentices and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage HV isolation procedures and oversee contractors/vendors.
  • Support DCS/PLC systems, including commissioning and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist with electrical system design for process and utility systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Completed electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition).
  • Proven industrial/commercial experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
