Director of Quality
Location: Teesside
Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-Time)
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Quality to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Teesside. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving quality excellence across the business and ensuring compliance with key international standards.
The Role
As Director of Quality, you will have overall responsibility for the company’s Quality Management Systems, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are consistently met. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to embed a strong quality culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485

Act as the senior authority for all quality-related matters

Ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements

Lead internal and external audits, including certification and customer audits

Drive continuous improvement and risk management activities

Manage and develop the quality team, providing clear leadership and direction

Report quality performance and improvement initiatives at board level
About You

Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 (essential)

Demonstrated experience managing audits and regulatory compliance

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach where required
