Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
(One late night per week to 18:00 + Friday rota to 16:00. Early Friday finish available at 13:30 where hours are met.)
Job Description
As a Despatch Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating deliveries across the UK, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time. This Despatch Planner role is less about pure transport booking and more focused on planning, coordination, and customer communication within the supply chain team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing order books and production schedules to plan dispatches
- Coordinating loads and prioritising customer orders
- Liaising with customers, sales teams, and hauliers
- Arranging transport and issuing loading plans
- Producing dispatch reports and maintaining accurate schedules
This Despatch Planner position requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Despatch Planner, transport planner, or production planning role
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication and customer service ability
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
