Our client is a well-established international logistics specialist with a strong reputation for delivering complex heavy lift and project cargo solutions across global markets. Working closely with engineering teams and customers, they provide tailored transportation and logistics strategies for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for technically complex projects, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial Technical Lead to strengthen the link between their engineering and commercial teams.
Job Description:This is a newly created role designed to support the company by bringing additional technical and commercial capability into the team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team to review incoming tenders and RFQs, helping develop technically sound and commercially competitive proposals for complex transport and logistics solutions. You will play a key role in translating technical requirements into commercially viable solutions, ensuring the business can respond effectively to project opportunities.
Alongside tender support, the role will involve engaging with customers, supporting meetings where required, and helping present the company’s project capabilities. This position will act as a bridge between engineering, operations and commercial teams, helping strengthen the organisation’s ability to win and deliver technically demanding projects.
Skills & Experience:-
Experience within project logistics, heavy lift, shipping or specialist transportation

Strong technical understanding, ideally with an engineering background or significant experience working alongside engineering teams

Exposure to tendering, RFQs, or bid preparation within a technical or logistics environment

Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate technical solutions into client proposals

Confident engaging with clients and supporting customer-facing discussions

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Flexibility to travel occasionally for customer meetings
