Job Description:
As a Technical Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between engineering and client-facing commercial activity. The Technical Commercial Manager will work closely with the heavy lift engineering team to develop and present innovative logistics solutions for complex, out-of-gauge cargo.
The Technical Commercial Manager will support the full project lifecycle, from early concept through to delivery, ensuring technical and commercial alignment at every stage. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality tender documentation, including technical proposals and cost breakdowns.
Working as a Technical Commercial Manager, you will liaise with global stakeholders, key accounts, and tendering teams to deliver bespoke solutions tailored to client needs. The role will also involve reviewing technical drawings, managing subcontractors on-site, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and HSE requirements.
The Technical Commercial Manager will act as a key interface with clients, presenting logistics methodologies and supporting both pre- and post-award project phases.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering or commercial role
- Background in heavy lift, logistics, oil & gas, renewables, or similar sectors (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of method statements and risk assessments
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Competent in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interpret complex technical information
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
