A successful, global Manufacturing business are looking to add to their established Purchasing department in Northumberland with an experienced Buyer.

Job Description of a Buyer
- To purchase products of a high quality and the lowest cost possible.
- To organise the daily activities of the Purchasing department.
- To monitor and manage the supplier base through negotiation, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier visits, performance monitoring and auditing.
- To utilise the SAP system to reduce purchasing transactional costs.
Skills & experience of a Recruitment Consultant
- Relevant Purchasing experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering business.
- MRP / ERP systems experience (ideally SAP)
- MS Office proficient.
- Must be highly organised and an effective communicator.
- Supplier management experience.
