Position – Welder/Fabricator
Location – Prudhoe, Newcastle
Hourly Rate – £14-£15 per hour
Shifts – Day shift (Early finish on a Friday)
About the company:
I'm currently assisting a dynamic engineering client in their search for a Welder/Fabricator to join their rapidly expanding team. The core responsibilities of this position involve the fabrication, welding, and installation of various equipment, encompassing pipework, bracketry, guards, and machinery access components.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise TIG welding on both stainless steel and mild steel.
- Prepare welding equipment, select suitable filler materials, and adjust welding parameters for different aluminum materials.
- Demonstrate experience in working at customer sites while strictly adhering to safety regulations.
- Measure and fabricate guards, pipework, and brackets as needed.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Collaborate within a team or work independently when necessary.
- Show enthusiasm and a willingness to share knowledge with others.
- Install a range of pipework sizes, from 25mm to 500mm, utilizing both screw and weld methods.
Skills & Experience:
- TIG Welding experience (Desirable)
- Time served or equivalent
- Fabrication experience
- Pipe fitting experience
