Job Description:

As Area Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving sales growth across the North East and Yorkshire region. Your primary focus will be new business development, targeting customers in regulated manufacturing environments. Over time, this role will transition into a Key Account Management position as you establish and grow long-term relationships.

You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from first contact through to delivery and aftercare. This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys working autonomously while being part of a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across your territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Promote a range of packaging products aligned to customer needs
  • Provide commercial support and advice to maximise customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with internal teams (planning, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare sales forecasts, account plans and reports
  • Achieve and exceed set sales targets (volume and value)

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in a field-based sales or Area Sales Manager role
  • Experience selling into industrial or regulated environments (e.g. food, pharmaceutical, chemicals)
  • Tenacious, self-motivated, and target-driven
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Able to manage your own diary and territory effectively
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
