The Company:

Theo James Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly respected global manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe, currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art facility at the forefront of innovation in high-volume production, specifically supporting advanced moulding operations. The role offers real scope for impact, with leadership responsibilities and a strong emphasis on quality improvement, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.   • Represent the Quality function for moulding, printing, foiling, and sub-assembly operations

  • Manage and resolve quality issues using 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, and other problem-solving tools

  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions

  • Monitor and improve product and process quality using data-driven approaches

  • Oversee audits and ensure compliance with control plans and PFMEAs

  • Support new product introductions and engineering change orders

  • Lead quality forums and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to strategic workforce and engagement planning

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Senior or Quality Engineering role within high-volume manufacturing

  • Strong background in injection moulding and manufacturing standards

  • Certified or experienced in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt preferred)

  • Skilled in quality methodologies: FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, etc.

  • Effective communicator with experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
