Theo James Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly respected global manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe, currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art facility at the forefront of innovation in high-volume production, specifically supporting advanced moulding operations. Represent the Quality function for moulding, printing, foiling, and sub-assembly operations

Manage and resolve quality issues using 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, and other problem-solving tools

Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions

Monitor and improve product and process quality using data-driven approaches
-
Oversee audits and ensure compliance with control plans and PFMEAs
-
Support new product introductions and engineering change orders

Lead quality forums and continuous improvement initiatives

Contribute to strategic workforce and engagement planning
Skills & Experience:
-
5+ years’ experience in a Senior or Quality Engineering role within high-volume manufacturing
-
Strong background in injection moulding and manufacturing standards
-
Certified or experienced in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt preferred)
-
Skilled in quality methodologies: FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, etc.

Effective communicator with experience working in cross-functional teams

Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
