Up to £60,000 depending on experience with 10% bonus and 6% company pension
Job Description of a Purchasing Manager
The postholder will be bbecome acquainted with and liaise with various company purchasing and project purchasing organisation structures, personnel and teams and take the lead to ensure completion of projects and strategies for the business.
Carry out audits to ensure all existing project best cost country sourcing strategies and where appropriate follow through to a timely completion.
Review all existing project best cost country sourcing strategies, manage new project sourcing requirements and devise, implement appropriate purchasing strategy and follow through to a timely completion.
Co-ordinate suppliers for serial production supply and devise, implement strategy to maintain or change as appropriate and follow through to a timely completion.
Skills & experience of a Purchasing Manager
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to take leading role in procurement activities, e.g. project planning and execution, escalation and mitigation planning, business case development and tracking, KPI follow up and reporting, VAVE projects, resourcing and change management..
Proven successful track record of engaging with suppliers and deal with procurement activities, e.g. tool production, samples production, PPAP submissions.
Previous management experience is essential for this position.
Willingness to travel.
