Job Title: Panel Wireman
Location: Ponteland
Hourly Rate: £18-£20 per hour (DOE)
Shifts: Day Shift, early finish Friday

Job Description:
Due to continued expansion and increased workload, we are seeking skilled Panel Wirers to join the team. As a Panel Wirer, you will play a key role in assembling and wiring electrical control panels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fit electrical components and wiring based on schematics and drawings.
  • Assemble and wire power distribution units.
  • Use hand and power tools efficiently.
  • Conduct panel testing as required.
  • Work with both single and three-phase systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of projects.

 

Skills & Experience: We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Essential: Control panel experience, including working with single and three-phase systems.
  • Previous experience in panel wiring and electrical testing (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with busbar assemblies and holding an 18th Edition qualification (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Recognised apprenticeship served (preferred).
  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Creativity, problem-solving aptitude, and excellent communication skills.
