Non-Destructive Setting (NDT) Technician

Stanhope

Competitive salary 

Shifts - Rotational Shifts 6.15am – 1.15pm / 2pm – 11.15pm

 

Skills & requirements of an NDT Technician:

PCN or ASNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) would be beneficial but not essential. Applications are also welcome from candidates with the current qualifications needed or with expired qualifications within the last 12 months. This is a long-term career role for a company with an incredibly strong order book with long lasting contracts. Manufacturing experience from a Quality role would be a pre-requisite, however, this would suit an ambitious and self-motivated character that enjoys a hands-on approach to get tasks completed in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the NDT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing radiographic images of parts using both digital X-ray and gamma radiography. Reviewing and interpreting radiographs to approved techniques. Assessing parts by Magnetic Particle Inspection to approved techniques. Generating NDT reports documenting the results of the inspection, for internal and customer issues. Assisting in the preparation and review of NDT techniques.
