Skills & requirements of an NDT Technician

PCN or ASNT Level 2 Radiography and or Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Applications are also welcome from candidates who have the appetite and energy to learn from the team.  This is a rare opportunity for a role like this, where the business is looking to make a substantial investment in the right person to gain additional qualifications and build a long term career.  Manufacturing experience from a Quality role (Inspector, Technicians, Auditors) would be a pre-requisite, however.

This would suit an ambitious and self-motivated character that enjoys a hands-on approach to get tasks completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the NDT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing radiographic images of parts using both digital x-ray and gamma radiography.

Reviewing and interpreting radiographs to approved techniques.

Assessing parts by Magnetic Particle Inspection to approved techniques.

Generating NDT reports documenting the results of inspection, for internal and customer issue.

Assisting in the preparation and review of NDT techniques.

Why should you apply

Due to one the best years they have had in business, the Quality team are expanding and this is a great time to join the Cook Defence Systems team.

If you have a background in Quality Inspection or have worked at a Technician level but have little opportunity to develop, then this would be a great business to kick start your career alongside securing highly regarded qualifications.
