Job Title – Mechanical Maintenance Role
* Every two weeks, 4 day working week and very competitive overtime rates

Salary £42,574 PA
Location: Chester-le-Street Area
Shifts: 2 Shift Pattern (7am-3:30pm / 9pm-7:30am)

The Position:

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer, with an Mechanically Biased background to fulfil a permanent position to report into the Maintenance Supervisor daily. This position requires experience of working within a Manufacturing industry.


Skills & Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer:  

  • HNC / HND / ONC Maintenance Qualification (Time Served)
  • To have worked in some form of high demanding manufacturing industry
  • PPM System experience
  • Mechanical fault finding and breakdown exposure.
  • To have worked upon hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Welding experience would be beneficial.
  • Hands on Approach
  • Excellent communications skills

Responsibilities:

  • Strong skill set of PPM’s – Maintain and develop the PPM schedule
  • Fault Finding and repair mechanical breakdowns.
  • Team player and hands-on approach.
  • Undertake a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance duties.
  • Act to reactive maintenance problems.
  • To drive KPI’s.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal departments and teams.
