Job Title – Mechanical Fitter
* Every two weeks, 4 day working week and very competitive overtime rates

Shifts: Day Shift (7:30am-4pm)

The Position of a Mechanical Fitter:
We are looking for an Mechanical Fitter, who is qualified within a maintenance qualification.
We are looking for someone who has exposure of working the manufacturing industry, ideally chemical or COMAH.
Skills & Requirements of a Mechanical Fitter:
- Time Served Maintenance Qualification – level 3 minimum requirement.
- To have worked in some form of manufacturing industry, ideally chemical or COMAH.
- Strong mechanical skills, to have worked upon pneumatics and hydraulics.
- To have experience of stripping a range of machinery and refitting parts.
- Mechanical understanding of gears, pumps, and valves.
Main Responsibilities of an Mechanical Fitter:
- Undertake the commissioning and installation of new plant equipment across the factory.
- Follow routine preventative and PPM schedules.
- To reactive to any faults upon machinery, rectifying faults and enabling this is being documented to prevent any occurring issues moving forward.
- Follow on site procedures to ensure the smooth running of plant equipment and machinery.
- All document to be completed as required.
- The ability to build relationships with internal departments and teams. Liaise with external contractors whilst on site.
