Company Overview

 

Our client are leaders in the design and manufacturing of automotive applications. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated Test & Validation Engineer to join the R&D team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing our clients product portfolio and contributing to the Test and Validation facility's success.

 

As a crucial member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for validating, evaluating, and enhancing product designs in alignment with technical specifications. Your role will encompass proof-of-concept validation and optimization.

 
Skills & Experience

 

  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Knowledge of data logging and signal processing, with a preference for experience in electromechanical system control is desirable.
  • Understanding of product validation and its application to engineering components.
  • Proven testing and fault-finding experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Suitable qualifications or relevant experience in an engineering field.

 

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test specifications to assess and enhance product performance against technical criteria.
  • Instrument products to measure engineering parameters such as displacement, temperature, pressure, torque, and strain for validation purposes.
  • Execute test preparations, assign test cycles, and perform checks before and during product validation.
  • Generate technical validation reports and deliver presentations as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to discuss results and drive product specification enhancements.
  • Design, set up, and operate test equipment covering mechanical, electro-mechanical, and control aspects.
  • Systematically conduct teardown analysis on components to evaluate performance and investigate failure modes.
  • Generate innovative ideas to improve test and validation methodologies, including sub-system level validation.
