We are working with an innovative manufacturer of critical safety products for multiple applications in their search for a new Mechanical Design Engineer.

Job Description

• Support and/or lead small to medium sized product modification projects from concept through to design and production release.
• Identify and implement product design solutions to solve current product issues in manufacturing, material supply and at the customer.
• Assist with cost reduction projects that require R&D input.
• Provide R&D support including prototype development on customer specific tenders.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Engineering qualification in mechanical engineering or mechanical design.
• Design experience in medium to high volume electro/mechanical manufacturing.
• Experience in designing pneumatic systems or plastic injection molded parts.
• Experience using Pro-Engineer/Creo is desirable.
• Experience of Six sigma and DFMA would be advantageous.
