Company Overview
One of the largest and most stable employers in the area, who are a UK leading manufacturer of leisure and vehicle design are looking for a new Manufacturing Engineer.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for defining, designing and implementing appropriate manufacturing solutions. This will include the use of automation, for both new and existing product and processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified to minimum HNC level in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and experience with implementation into manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing engineering techniques.
- Knowledge and understanding of lean principles such as 5S, Standard Work & VSM.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing technology such as FMEA, Design for Manufacture, etc.
- Computer literate with knowledge and use of Microsoft packages and use of CAD systems.
Responsibilities:
- To coordinate new product development with design, quality, and production teams.
- To identify and implement manufacturing solutions to improve KPIs.
- To lead creation and updates of Value Stream Maps for process improvement.
- To determine optimal workforce levels and implement standard work processes.
- To solve problems using analytical tools and integrate solutions into production.
- To drive manufacturing efficiency improvements throughout product lifecycle.
- To analyse waste, enhance value-added activities, and train operators.
- To identify and apply new manufacturing technologies for process improvement.
- To lead lean projects alongside design, production, and quality teams.
