Main Duties:

  • Setup and operation of manual turning and milling machines with precision.
  • Selection of appropriate tools and fixtures, following customer specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Continuous monitoring of the machining process and regular inspections for dimensional accuracy.
  • Accurate record-keeping of machine settings, tool changes, and inspection results.
  • Swift identification and resolution of issues during machining.
  • Consistent performance of routine machine maintenance tasks.
  • Strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Expertise in deburring parts to meet customer specifications.
  • Willingness to work in various roles, such as inspection and van driving, as required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual turning and milling machines, choosing appropriate tools and fixtures according to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Monitor the machining process and conduct regular inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed records of machine settings, tool changes, inspection results, and other relevant data for quality control and reference.
  • Identify and resolve issues during machining, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or deviations from specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Skillfully deburr parts to meet customer specifications.
