Salary: £37,000 + Bonus
Shift Pattern: Day Shift (Mon – Fri)

The Role – Mechanical Fitter:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in manufacturing or industrial environments. This role is hands-on and focused on maintaining and fitting mechanical components across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, repair, and fitting of machinery, pumps, valves, and mechanical systems
  • Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Strip down, rebuild, and reassemble mechanical components
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Support root cause analysis for mechanical faults and implement preventative measures
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments and assist with project work when required

Requirements:

  • Time-served Mechanical Fitter or equivalent qualification/apprenticeship
  • Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and mechanical fitting
  • Comfortable stripping and rebuilding machinery
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret technical specifications
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently or within a team
