Mechanical Maintenance Technician  
Salary Circa: £41,500

Location: Teesside
(Monday to Friday)

The Company: 

A well-established manufacturer in the region within a very niche market sector. Welcoming applicants with a strong mechanical skillset from a manufacturing environment, the role offers an extensive benefits package, a great salary, and a day shift role.

The Position:

The company are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the site maintenance systems and operation on sight.

Skills & Requirements for an electrically biased maintenance engineer:  

  • Apprentice trained, Mechanical HNC / HND qualification
  • Significant maintenance knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Practical hands on approach to problem solving
  • Experience with Pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors
  • Experience with  Pump, gear boxes and valves
  • Self-motivated
  • Willingness to learn new processes
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team

 

 

Responsibilities:

The site runs an effective PPM system and as such is achieving great strides in a more planned and preventative maintenance systems as opposed to a wholly reactive set up. Maintenance is planned in such a way that tasks are dedicated to set days/periods of shutdown allowing a more effective maintenance structure and working environment.
