Maintenance Manager Role

Salary Circa will be £50,000 PA
Location: Newcastle
Shifts: Day Shift (Early finish Fridays)

The Position:

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager, who is Multi Skilled. Someone who can provide leadership to the team. Who can implement strategic plans for the maintenance departments and a clear career path for employee’s.


Skills & Requirements of a Maintenance Manager:
  

  • HNC / HND / ONC Maintenance Qualification (Time Served)
  • To have worked in some form of high demanding manufacturing industry
  • Ideally, this person must have some experience of leading teams of technicians from 6-10 employees (Leadership qualities / experience of Management)
  • Multi Skilled Abilities (Open bias)
  • Experience of leading and working upon projects. This role will be a 90% office-based role, whereby you would be reliable for the success of driving the team forward to success.
  • Exposure of working upon a range of machinery, including both modern and older machinery
  • Good communication skills – able to communicate and have experience of working and liaising with other departments
  • To have worked on budgets would be beneficial to this role
  • Monthly appraisals, monthly 1:1’s

 

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Manager:

  • To ensure that the PPM is loaded into the schedule, ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Communicate with various other departments, ensuring that all schedules are planned accurately. Delivering excellent customer service.
  • Work in a data driven environment.
  • To enable the team are diagnosing faults upon machinery and problem solving.
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance department, ensuring all plans are being adhered too.
  • Team player and hands-on approach.
  • Act to reactive maintenance problems.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal departments and teams.
  • Using own initiative and making your own maintenance / engineering decisions.
  • Hands on approach with multiple projects
