CNC Machining Engineer

Company Overview

 

An Innovative, leading fabrication and machining business who supply to a range of sectors are looking for a new CNC Production Engineer. This role is due to growth in the business and is an additional headcount. 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship/training CNC experience.
  • Fully conversant with offline programming/CAM using AlphaCam or Fusion 360.
  • Up to date with modern machine tools and machining techniques.
  • Proven track record of setting and programming CNC machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
  • Be fully conversant with engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Capable of converting drawings/models into development and production running parts.
  • Experience using an ERP software would be beneficial.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production to achieve targets and goals.
  • Make sure all machines are running efficiently.
  • Creation of accurate offline, detailed CNC Programmes.
  • Consider tools required and program machines accordingly.
  • Design Jigs and Fixtures.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimise production while maintaining quality.
  • Identify CI activities when parts are in production.
  • Assist and provide, advice/support and machine times for quoting activity.
  • Assist with new machine and technology investments.
