Logistics Shift Leader Basic salary £38,000 plus shift allowance 17.6%
Basic salary will rise to £43,00 subject to completing 12 month internal training programme
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Shifts: 3 Shift rotating pattern
(7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm ,11pm -7am)

Skills & Requirements of a Logistics Shift Leader:
The successful candidate must have previous experience as a Logistics Supervisor in a manufacturing business. It would be an immediate advantage if this was rom an automotive manufacturing environment.
Be able to lead and motivate teams, be qualified or willing to progress to a supervisory management and business improvement national qualification , have proven ability to convey information to an audience, drive and embrace change, set clear responsibilities, monitor progress and address any shortfall
Excellent excel and Microsoft office skills. Have a good understanding of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Shift rotation and overtime will be required within this role, there may be an occasional need to include weekends
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example as a Shift Leader ensuring a safe and efficient work place is maintained at all times through coordinating with Logistic Lead Operators and team activities
- Engage with the Logistic Lead Operators and teams to focus on ensuring material is received, supplied, stored and transported to meet the business needs and gathering ideas for improvement
- Liaise & communicate with other departments ensuring an effective relationship is maintained to minimize equipment downtime due to material shortages / supply
- Ensure all administration tasks are up to date and accurate
- Support a 5S Culture ensuring standards are sustained and improved upon
