Location: Sunderland

Salary: £50,000 PA
Day Shift: Monday to Friday

We are working with the world’s leading renewable manufacturer who are undergoing one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years.

 

As a Facility Engineer you will be a part of the core engineering team delivering and maintaining the UK’s first ‘at scale Gigafactory’. You will be responsible for the facilities and maintenance of machinery, process and plant equipment, whilst providing support to site functions like production, QA and maintenance.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • HNC minimum within Maintenance or Engineering (electrical or mechanical)
  • Electrically biased engineer with some mechanical knowledge/skills (desired) 
  • Experience within Project Management.
  • Ability to build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as and when required.
  • Knowledge of the latest machine and equipment standards is essential.
  • Previous experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • PLC and systems knowledge is desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Represent the engineering department in all aspects 
  • Support the development of a manufacturing zone, working within a multi-discipline team.
  • Ensure all facilities are safe and legally compliant from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
  • Set & Measure process performance which are class leading, challenging but achievable.
  • Agree equipment strategies to ensure facility OEE is achieved and improved while life cycles are managed and maximized.
  • Procurement of production facilities & processes.
  • To oversee and complete fault diagnostics on PLC's and plant machinery. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
